Professional (Team) License Terms
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
These Professional License Terms supplement the General Terms and Conditions and the Feed Subscription Terms. They govern your use of Quincy News Services under a professional license.
1. Eligibility
1.1.A Professional License is required for any individual or entity that accesses the Services for business, commercial, or professional purposes, including but not limited to use by registered securities professionals, financial institutions, trading firms, research organizations, media companies, and government entities.
1.2.If you are uncertain whether your use requires a Professional License, contact us at contact@quincy.news. Use that does not clearly qualify as personal and non-commercial should be assumed to require a Professional License.
2. Scope of License
2.1.The Professional License grants the licensed individual or entity a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and view content through the Services for internal business purposes.
2.2.Each Professional License is for a single named user. Multi-seat arrangements require separate licenses for each user and are subject to enterprise pricing.
3. Permitted Uses
3.1.Under a Professional License, you may:
- Access the Services from workplace devices and networks.
- Use content to inform trading decisions, research, analysis, and advisory activities performed in a professional capacity.
- Reference content in internal reports, memos, and communications within your organization, subject to fair-use limitations and the redistribution restrictions in the Feed Subscription Terms.
4. Restrictions
4.1.Even under a Professional License, you may not:
- Redistribute content externally to clients, counterparties, or the public unless you have a separate redistribution agreement with Quincy News.
- Use content as a direct input to any automated trading system, algorithmic strategy, or signal-generation process without a separate Data License.
- Sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit your access to the Services.
5. Reporting and Compliance
5.1.Professional License subscribers may be required to provide usage declarations, including the number of display and non-display devices accessing the Services, for the purpose of exchange reporting and license compliance.
5.2.We reserve the right to audit usage and request documentation to verify compliance with Professional License terms. Failure to cooperate with reasonable audit requests may result in suspension of access.
6. Pricing
6.1.Professional License pricing reflects the broader scope of permitted use and any exchange or third-party data licensing fees that we incur. Current pricing is displayed on the subscription page.
6.2.We may adjust Professional License pricing with thirty (30) days' notice to reflect changes in our underlying data licensing costs.
