Feed Subscription Terms
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
These Feed Subscription Terms ("Feed Terms") supplement the General Terms and Conditions and govern your use of the Quincy News real-time news feed service (the "Feed"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the General Terms.
1. Service Description
1.1.The Feed provides real-time aggregated financial news headlines, story bodies, congressional trade disclosures, economic event indicators, and related content from third-party newswire services and proprietary sources.
1.2.Content is delivered via a web-based feed viewer with search, filtering, and customization features. Delivery latency, content depth, and feature access vary by subscription tier.
2. Access Tiers
2.1.Anonymous (no account): Headlines are delayed by fifteen (15) minutes. Story body access is limited to a brief preview. Search and filtering are restricted.
2.2.Registered (free account): Headlines are delayed by five (5) minutes. Story bodies are partially available. Search history is limited.
2.3.Subscriber (paid): Headlines are delivered in real time with zero intentional delay. Full story bodies, unlimited search history, and all filtering features are available.
2.4.We reserve the right to modify tier definitions, delay intervals, and feature availability at any time with thirty (30) days' notice to affected subscribers.
3. Content Sources and Accuracy
3.1.Feed content originates from third-party newswire services and is presented substantially as received. We do not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party content.
3.2.We may editorially annotate, categorize, or reformat content for presentation purposes. Such modifications do not constitute endorsement of the underlying content.
3.3.Content may be removed or corrected at the request of the originating source or as required by law.
4. Single-Device and Single-Session Policy
4.1.Each subscriber account supports one active session at a time. Signing in on a new device will terminate any existing session.
4.2.This policy is enforced to prevent unauthorized credential sharing and to ensure equitable access to our infrastructure.
5. Redistribution Restrictions
5.1.You shall not redistribute, retransmit, republish, or make available any content from the Feed to any third party by any means, including but not limited to screen sharing, screen capture, copy-paste, email forwarding, social media posting, or embedding in any website or application.
5.2.Limited fair-use quotation of headlines (with attribution to the originating source, not to Quincy News) may be permitted under applicable copyright law, but systematic or commercial use is prohibited.
5.3.You may not use content from the Feed as input to any automated trading system, algorithmic trading strategy, or signal-generation process.
6. Availability and Performance
6.1.We target high availability for the Feed but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage. The Feed may be unavailable during scheduled maintenance windows or due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
6.2.Real-time delivery is subject to network conditions, third-party source latency, and infrastructure capacity. "Real time" means we deliver content as quickly as technically feasible after receipt from the originating source, not that delivery is instantaneous.
6.3.We are not liable for any losses, trading decisions, or missed opportunities resulting from Feed unavailability, delays, errors, or omissions.
7. Data Retention
7.1.Historical feed content is retained for search and archival purposes. The depth of searchable history may vary and is not guaranteed for any specific duration.
8. Termination
8.1.We may suspend or terminate your Feed access immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Feed Terms, the General Terms, or any applicable law.
8.2.Upon termination, your access to real-time and archived Feed content ceases immediately.
