Market Data Terms
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
These Market Data Terms supplement the General Terms and Conditions. They govern the delivery and use of market data products offered by Quincy News, including exchange-sourced data such as CME equity index futures snapshots.
1. Service Description
1.1.Market data products provide access to financial market data including, but not limited to, price quotes, trade data, settlement values, open interest, and derived analytics from securities and derivatives exchanges.
1.2.Market data may be delivered through the Quincy News web interface, API, or other distribution mechanisms as specified for each product.
2. Exchange Requirements
2.1.Market data is sourced from regulated exchanges and is subject to the rules, policies, and subscriber agreements of those exchanges. By subscribing to a market data product, you agree to comply with all applicable exchange requirements as communicated to you.
2.2.Certain market data products require you to complete an attestation or subscriber agreement specific to the exchange providing the data (e.g., CME Group Non-Professional Subscriber Agreement). You will be prompted to complete these during or after checkout.
2.3.You must accurately represent your professional status (non-professional or professional) when subscribing to market data products. Misrepresentation may result in termination of access and retroactive billing at professional rates.
3. Non-Professional Subscribers
3.1.Non-professional subscribers must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the applicable exchange. Generally, a non-professional subscriber is a natural person who: (a) is not registered with any securities or commodities regulatory authority; (b) is not employed by a financial institution in a capacity that involves market data; and (c) uses market data solely for personal, non-business purposes.
3.2.Non-professional subscribers pay reduced fees reflective of the exchange's non-professional rate schedule.
4. Professional Subscribers
4.1.Professional subscribers include any individual or entity that does not meet non-professional eligibility criteria. Professional subscribers are subject to higher fees reflective of the exchange's professional rate schedule.
4.2.Professional subscribers may be required to report the number of display devices and non-display applications accessing market data.
5. Device Reporting
5.1.You must accurately report the number and type of devices or applications that access market data through your subscription. Device counts are used for exchange fee calculations and compliance reporting.
5.2."Display devices" are screens, monitors, or terminals where market data is viewed by a human. "Non-display devices" include applications, algorithms, and systems that consume market data programmatically without direct human viewing.
6. Redistribution
6.1.Market data shall not be redistributed, retransmitted, or made available to any third party without a separate redistribution agreement with Quincy News and the applicable exchange.
7. Audit Rights
7.1.We and/or the applicable exchange reserve the right to audit your use of market data to verify compliance with these terms, exchange requirements, and applicable regulations.
8. Disclaimers
8.1.Market data is provided "as is." Exchange data feeds may contain errors, delays, or interruptions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of market data.
8.2.Market data is not a substitute for professional financial advice. Trading decisions should not be based solely on data received through this service.
